Blade & Soul Bloodshade Harbor

Anyway, the fact that the same can be done in rolling systems doesn’t somehow mean it’s not abuse, of course. And it’s not just a waste of time. Imagine a bid-off between two or more party members starts at a mid-point in a dungeon, such as for a Soul Shield in Bloodshade Harbor, for more Blade-Soul Gold. None of the competitors can pass through the portal to the next area, because that will cancel their bid. You get 8 seconds per bid, and one person is deliberately bidding at the last second every time. That would almost certainly hold up the party for at least five minutes, and easily for ten. Nobody is prepared to wait that long for a party to progress. Many people would consider leaving the party if two of their party members were competing in a bid for that long.

And I know it feels good to suggest that somebody might not have been paying attention and that it was their own fault, but no, I was definitely paying attention. I did go with the lowest possible bid each time though. Sure enough, I probably wouldn’t do the same thing again. But something as simple as a 0.3 second forced wait after a big bid jump would prevent this kind of abuse. It’s a wonder this hasn’t been implemented yet.

If you don’t like the bidding system, I suggest you find yourself some friends that are reliable and play with them to get what you need. Like me, I never have to bid for anything, nor my clanmates and reliable friends.

I have seen clan people on cross server who try to fuck each other up by bidding against each other. The logic of being in the same clan and making 1 bleed for some shitty item that can drop again and again…

The biggest issue I have with this system is people abusing it. Aka making the guy who wants a certain item pay higher than necessary. Especially at a fresh released end game, sure this can be only temporary Blade And Soul Power leveling, but it’s still an issue. Well but it’s indeed better than many loot systems. Sadly the ‘need’ and ‘greed’ system won’t work in this game, because it does work well in ffxiv (in my opinion at least)

Blade & Soul: the 25 AP goes for 25g

Considering there are 4 different Diamond Gems to receive, and if you consistently pulled 3/10 I’d call that luck. I’ve never had much of that. So I’ll stick to the safe side and be the one selling my crafted Pouches :/

I could also add that I watch the market closely and know the 25 AP goes for 25g still currently. So you’d have to pull 3 to make a profit, because even if they were 30g each and only got 2, you’d be at a loss after marketplace fees.

On the topic of dailies, I have 4 45s. The only dailies I do are the faction dailies + Tomb of Exiles. That is 19 Soulstones equaling 74 a day. I sell them all for about 26-27g at current market Blade And Soul Gold. Sitting on Awakened Pirate on my Sin, and regretting upgrading while the prices are so high. You should sell all you Soulstones while prices are so high, and buyback or save once they are down to ~24s each. That would mean you saved 10g (or 10g profit)

I’m working from home past week and something aka I have tons of free time and just this morning I managed to get 40 tears and 1 harry potter design soloing the damn dungeon.

Otherway is selling ncoins.considering the fact you need few thousands of gold to have it ez when 50 patch come I’m waiting the price to jump abit more. Was 1g/100 coins then 1.5g/100 now is 2g/100.Soon price will jump even more.

Pre-45 though, the game does hide a lot of avoidable costs. I didn’t even realize that the game charges you for remotely turning in quests (cost seems to scale to your level – lower level quests cost more to remotely turn in than they award you) until a few days ago.

A Blade And Soul player’s Open Letter to NCSoft

Dear NCSoft,

First off, I just want to say that I love this game. For the last 2 months since the NA release, this game has been my life. I get off work then I play Blade and Soul until I want to go to bed. I have spent over 100 dollars on this game, just out of the Hongmoon store; buying outfits, spec tabs, character slots, premium memberships etc.

I will give the benefit of the doubt and say, yes, this is a new Free to Play MMO. Bots were just bound to come. It happens in almost every MMO. I understand that to the fullest. But I have never ever seen bots this bad in an MMO. Last night alone, I played 21 1v1 games and 19 of them were bots. It’s disgusting to see how many bots are in the game right now.

If you are unaware what the bots are doing, they’re basically multi boxing in groups of 6, grinding to 45, doing the beginner level 45 dungeons, getting dragon certificates from the dailies then splitting into arena using bot programs to grind Zen Beans. Then they’re spending the Zen Beans to get the soulstone pouches from the Zen Bean vendor, and then selling the soulstones. That is why on most servers soulstones are now 12-16 silver.

If there is no way to internally combat the bots, (ie: ban waves, better and upgraded firmware for GameGuard, credit card verification when signing up etc.) I have came up with a few suggestions that would help the bots deter away from arena:

Remove the soulstone pouches from the game. If that isn’t an option, put the pouches in, for example, the 7th floor of Mushin’s Tower. After you beat Junghado, a vendor spawns and you’re able to buy an RNG soulstone pouch for 10-30 Warrior Tokens.

Make zen beans only acquirable past Platinum rating.
In place of the soulstone pouches at the Zen Bean vendor, give us outfits, weapon skins and adornments at each rank that would cost zen beans. That way, PvPers are able to grind for something and feel rewarded, and stand out amongst other players. For example, the Platinum outfit would cost 15,000 zen beans. The weapon skin would cost 20,000. The adornment(s) would cost 10,000. Diamond cosmetics would cost more, of course. (I’m just throwing numbers out there guys.)

I have a feeling something like that would work since the bots are grinding out zen beans to get fast Blade And Soul Gold. Take that away, and they’ll most likely stop doing arena. They’ll have to find something else to get BNS Gold.

I understand free to play MMOs will always have bots. That’s just the nature of the beast. And I’m sure you guys (NCSoft) are doing your absolute best to combat this, but I honestly don’t see this game living for another month if this bot problem persists. I love this game. I would hate to see it die along with City of Heroes and Tabula Rasa.

I was just using Mushin’s Tower as an example. My point was to have something that is somewhat gear dependent so the bots couldn’t get to them.Get your soulstones from the faction dailies or gear up in order to get the pouches.
